The lesson was reviewing for a quiz. The students all were engaged because they had to respond verbally. The teacher expects that when she asks to put everything under their desks every student will comply. The teacher threatens a referral if a student misbehaves. This hardly ever happens though so it isn’t a very effective threat. The 100% strategy is used and when a student misbehaves the teacher calls them out on it immediately.
